The state of Hoosier Basketball after a tough loss and more Lebron hate
Well, that was a pretty good game tonight against the Badgers, but Jordan Taylor was just unbeatable, especially since Tom Crean decided to keep switching all night and let our two slow big men guard him. He did not miss all night, and it probably wouldn't have mattered who guarded him. Nonetheless, I do not really know what to think about this season. I mean, this year has to be considered a step back. In a league that is probably only going to get 5, maybe 6 NCAA tournament bids the Hoosiers won 3 big ten games. That is unacceptable. While they played a lot of teams tough, what matters is winning and learning to win. The Hoosiers still have not won a true road game under Tom Crean. They came close this year at Michigan State, but they just could not hold on. I know they are still young and experienced a ridiculous amount of injuries, but you have to overcome these things and grow as a team. Tonight against Wisconsin it became real evident that there are only a few players on this team who should be in a rotation on a Big Ten basketball team: Hulls, Oladipo, and Watford. Next year when Zeller comes to town and Creek is healthy, maybe we can find a way to get to .500 in the big ten because another year like this and Tom Crean has to be on the hot seat. I like Tom Crean a lot, but he has to start winning some battles outside of those on the recruiting trail.
