Mike Davis and UAB Make Everyone Look Right

Well, like every single person on ESPN said except Dan Dakich, UAB simply did not belong in this field and they would have gotten beaten down by even more if they wouldn't have gotten hot from downtown for a 5 minute stretch.  They were absolutely awful. I watched about 20 minutes of this game and UAB had more turnovers than actual baskets at one point.  They were horrendous.  They showed just  how bad Conference USA was this year. Anyone who watched that game has to be betting against Memphis in my opinion.  I mean how could UAB win that conference outright.

As far as Mike Davis is concerned, how this guy could have managed to get Indiana to an NCAA Championship game is totally beyond me.  As a student during the majority of the Mike Davis era, I endured watching some of the worst basketball in IU history, outside of the past 3 seasons. It would appear his coaching style has not changed and his offensive scheme is still just a bunch of standing around and shooting 3s and unless you have a Robert Vaden or Bracey Wright like he did when he was at IU and UAB for that matter, his teams are not going to be able to  compete with any team that is quick and talented.   Outside of his one run to the championship, he has never coached a team that made it past the 2nd round.  To conclude....Mike Davis stinks and I am glad his team got bounced so badly. I think one of those 16 seeds that played in the first game would have given Clemson a better game.
