19, 26, 27, 46, 40, 40, 40, 32, 40, 38, 38

What are those numbers? Just Adam Dunn's HR totals over the past 11 full seasons he has played.  Outside of the fact that this guy strikes out a ton, and is just an absolute butcher in the field, he is an offensive force.  Dunn has a career .380 on base percentage, and has drove in over 100 runs 6 times.  He has managed to do this while being on some of the worst teams in baseball.  You will not here a bad word about the Paul Bunyon like baseball player.  He just gives off such a positive vibe.  I would have loved to have had that stick in our lineup on the North Side, if he didn't have to play the field. He could hit 50 HRs this year at the launch pad known as US Cellular Field. With him and Konerko providing the pop in the middle of the order, the Sox could be a real force this year. It will be interesting to see how Dunn responds to playing under pressure. Now after watching this guy hit what felt like 500 HRs against the Cubs over the past 11 years in the NL, I am so glad we only have to face him 6 times this year.  Dunn is a superstar and is only making 14 million a year over the next 4 years. Yes, that's alot of money, but that is a pure value deal. Just a great transaction by Kenny.  This is smart money because Dunn is nothing if not consistent. You can pencil in 40 and 100 for him, as well as a .380 OBP.  While the move makes the Sox slower, this team has always been built on power no matter what Ozzie Guillen might tell you.  Ozzie ball is a myth. The Sox have been built over the past 20 years as a team of mashers.  From Thomas, Belle, Ordonez, Konerko, Thome and Dye not to mention a bunch of other guys who consistently hit 20 HRs, the Sox have always been built on power. To conclude, if Dunn and Konerko can combine to hit 80 HRs, the Sox will be heading to the postseason.
