Bulls Bench Comes Up Huge

This win belonged to the Bulls bench who were absolutely fantastic. The Bulls starters were decent last night but it was the bench who proved to be the difference.  Ronnie Brewer, Omer Asik, Kyle Korver and CJ Watson were all +11 or better with Brewer being a +22 in 22 minutes of play.  Asik got more minutes than Noah and used them extremely effectively grabbing 13 rebounds, 5 of those on the offensive end. While Asik is still raw on the offensive end, defensively he is just an absolute stat sheet stuffer.  The injury to Noah may have been a blessing in disguise because it allowed the Turk to grow as a player.  He plays with a lot more confidence than he did at the beginning of the season and is an indispensable part of this team.  Thank God Bulls execs used sound judgment and did not trade Asik for Courtney Lee.  Just a huge non trade by the Bulls.  Last night was also a bit of statement game for the lost Korab, Kyle Korver.  Korver hit three huge 3-pointers with the game on the line last night. The Magic kept trying to close the gap and every time they got within 10, Korver hit a 3 in the final few minutes.  The 3 headed monster that is Korver, Brewer and Bogans has played pretty solid all year, but if they can keep getting quality performances from Korver and Brewer the Bulls will have no problem advancing in the playoffs.
