Screw The Books Pick of the Day

If yesterday proved anything, it's that some things are out of Jimmy The Greek's hands. Do I think St. John's covers if their second best player doesn't go down mid way through the first half with a knee injury? Of course I do but we all know bookies have no mercy so the only thing we can do is moved on. On a side note, D.J. Kennedy (the injured St. John's player), tore his ACL and is out for the NCAA Tournament so that is something to remember when you are filling out your brackets.

The pick for today is Michigan +3.

I feel as if this team has flown under the radar through out the season even as they closed strong through out the second half of the Big Ten regular season. They swept the season series against their rival Michigan State, played Ohio State tough on the road, and would've beat Wisconsin if it wasn't for a buzzer beater. This team is young with not one senior on their team and 3 freshman that are key contributors but after playing 29 regular season games, experience shouldn't be an issue. The key to the game will be how Tim Hardaway, Jr. plays. If the name sounds familiar, it should, because he is the son of the same Tim Hardaway we all grew up wathcing. All though his father was known for his killer cross over, junior is a lanky guard that has unlimited range and is a high riser. If he has a big game, which I think he will, expect the Wolverines to not only win against the spread but to win the game outright and move on to the next round of the Big Ten tournament.

  2. I expect to see a "bad beat" blog about the 2011 Big 10 Tournament game between Illinois and Michigan, when Illinois pissed their pants and blew a game they completely contoled in the first half.
