Really Cubs....

Well, the Cubs let one go yesterday and it was pretty hard to stomach.  Not only did they lose this game in the 9th, but they beat themselves which made it even worse.  Starlin Castro made a horrible play in the 9th. Instead of just eating the ball, he threw it wildly to first allowing the go ahead run to score.  He was not charged with an error, but it was definitely an error in his judgment.  A ball that went no further than 80 feet from home plate scored two runs.  Brutal. And dont ya know it, Marmol rolls a double play ball on the next pitch.  Then to make matters even worse in the bottom half, Marlon Byrd, with runners on first and third after the cubs caught a huge break on a ronny cedeno error, grounds into a weak double play. That dude needs to be out of the 3 hole today. He is a solid player, but not a 3 hitter in the major leagues. Couple positives though: Colvin's play in the 8th was awesome.  Showed some real arm strength and accuracy. Two days in a row now, Soriano has come through with a huge hit which is nice to see.  Bullpen has been awesome.  Castro is killing the ball, and last but not least, Matt Garza looked real good. I know he gave up 12 hits, but they were all singles.  He also struck out 12 and pounded the strike zone all game.  Now all we need to do team is learn how to beat the fricken Pirates.
