Well, looks like put the hex on my sleeper Cy Young pick yesterday John Danks. Sorry about the lack of run support John. With the exception of Alex Rios, the whole Sox lineup is killing the baseball. Hitting .324 in the opening weekend is pretty damn good no matter who you are playing against. And how about CQ. 7 RBIs already and going 6 for 11 in his first ABs of the year will play and 4 of those are extra base hits. Each starting pitcher this weekend had pretty solid outings for the Sox and it was hard to judge the bullpen because none of them threw in meaningful situations.
Another nice thing to see was the hot start that Gordon Beckham got off to. Sox fans have to be excited about that considering the horrible start he got off to last year. I think it took him two months to get 4 hits last year. I know I am not a Sox fans, but if I was I would be ecstatic about the start the team as a whole has gotten off to. The Sox trouble in past years has been losing to teams they should beat. For the Sox to go into Cleveland the opening weekend of the year and beat them like a drum twice in the first two games of the years is great news for this team so far. You have to win every series against teams like the Indians and Royals. That is how you win a division and the Sox doing that on the road in the first series of the season is big.
