I want home court!

Another great weekend for the Bulls and their quest for home court advantage for the playoffs. Detroit attempted their best at an April Fools joke by playing tough on Friday night until DRose foiled their plans. Per usual, the MVP candidate took the game over in the final minutes to seal the deal. Rose came up big with some key dimes and hit a few huge FT's to escape the Palace of Auburn Hills with a 5 point win. Rose had 27 points and 7 helpers while Boozer came up big with 22 points, 8 boards, and 7 dimes himself. The Pistons also honored Dennis Rodman at halftime by retiring his No. 10 jersey. Unfortunately he did not wear the outfit above (contrary to popular belief, this is not Chairman Chet on Halloween 2010). He was and will be one of the premiere defenders to ever play. He was the only one who could guard MJ, Magic, and Larry Legend on a consistent basis in the 80's and early 90's. He won consecutive DPOY awards, had 7 rebounding titles, and won 5 championships. He obviously played a huge part in the Bulls second three-peat. He is 10x better than Ron Artest will ever be, but never punched a dude in the stands (he only kicked a cameraman in the nuts, totally different). Hard to believe that as great of a player he was, the man enjoys dressing up like a chick.

On to the next one. Toronto marched into the UC on Saturday after last beating the Bulls after the All-Star game. DRose took that to heart and made it a point to make sure they didn't lose again. Another great performance with 36 points and 10 dimes and Boozer had 18 and 10. With the absence of JoNoah, Boozer is playing like he has almost all year. Kind of weird that he seems to flourish when Noah doesn't play because it's not like Jo is taking shots away from Booz. It most definitely has to be a chemistry thing between the two. Or he is still distraught about Prince destroying his Hollywood mansion. Very imperative that they figure that out as the regular season comes to a close. The game also produced this defensive highlight as DRose welcomed JimmyJohns back to the Chi since he got shipped North of the border (wish this was the Stacey King version).

Bulls are 2.5 games ahead of the Heatles in the East, and 1.5 games behind the Spurs for home court. They play again Tuesday at home against the Nash's and have a biggie against the Celtics Thursday.
