The next Basketball Jesus

Well that wasn't fun. Tyler Hansbrough is going to be better than Larry Legend. Just kidding. I knew Psycho-T would be giving Boozer a hard time, but I at least thought Boozer would match him on the offensive end. Boozer got owned on both ends of the court. Don't confuse this as "Tyler Hansbrough should have been an all-star" because everyone knows that he isn't that good, he just had a great game. This may sound cliche, but what he lacks in basketball skill he makes up for in basketball IQ, grit, and hustle (AKA - the recipe for white guys who can't drain 3's for making the NBA). Boozer happens to be the exact opposite. Looks like Boozer's feet are buried in concrete on the defensive end. During post-game conferences Boozer blamed his timidness on both ends was because he was in foul trouble. Um, Booz, try harder on the defensive end, move your feet, stop pointing and screaming, and then you won't be in foul trouble. Thibs stood up for his guy and said that it wasn't just his fault and said that the team failed as a whole in trying to stop Psycho-T. Partly true because TajMahal and Jo had a hard time too. Thibs knows that Carlos needs to figure it out on the defensive end. Maybe Thibs needs to make a change and switch Jo to check P-T instead of Booz. There's no way an undersized white boy who doesn't shoot beyond 15-feet should be lighting up this Bulls squad. To say that Derrick had a great game is an understatement. You can obviously see by his 39-point (19 from the charity stripe) that he was the best player out there. Even the Pacers coach was in awe. But his run in the last 3:00 were unbelievable. He refused to lose this game. Unfortunately, this is the playoffs. This can't happen every game and every night. The Pacers played a great game, I'll give them that. We can't expect them to be on fire from beyond the arc tonight as they shot well above their average. But whether its against the Pacers or beyond the first round, Boozer is gonna have to play up to his contract if the Bulls are to advance.
