Cubs Over .500 For First Time since 2009

                                                                       The Truth
Well, how about Andrew Cashner? That was a pretty damn good first start. Now let's hope his arm is not dead.  Few thoughts from the game : Starlin Castro who is the youngest player in the National League may by the end of this season being the best hitting short stop in the NL.  Maybe I am a getting a little to excited about this kid's hot start but he spends his summers in the gaps.  Its insane how major league ready this kid is at the plate.  His fielding is still a bit raw, but he made some extremely athletic plays in the field today and played a phenomenal game.   Next Thought; Shark needs to go.  Samardzija is a joke.  He is just terrible.  After 3.5 years this dude still cannot find home plate.  Cubs bullpen without Wood and Marmol in it, not good. Other thoughts, Colvin played a pretty decent 1B today.  Not to mention he hit a 2 run homer and drove in another run.  pretty solid fill in for CP.  Ahhhhh. what else. Marlon Byrd finally had a good game and really came through in the 7th after the bullpen gave up a 3-run lead in the 7th. Still don't like him in the 3 hole, but nice game Marlon.  No real other thoughts. Kinda shocked Quade let Jimmy Russell hit with the bags loaded but thats what happen when you play in tight ball games and your bullpen gets a lot of work.  Its all good though. Cubs over .500...finally.
